Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is moving forward rapidly to contribute towards Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Shri Sai said that the Industrial Development Policy 2024-2030 provides special incentives for industries that generate employment. While framing the policy, particular attention was paid to ensuring that investments coming into the state create as many job opportunities as possible for local youth. Investment is being encouraged in textiles, food processing, electronics, pharmaceuticals and other labour-intensive sectors. Chief Minister said that the government is creating a favourable investment environment while simplifying the procedures required to establish and operate industries. As part of reforms linked to the Jan Vishwas initiative, a special effort has been made to remove 279 provisions from the category of criminal offences. Procedures for various permissions and approvals are also being simplified and made time-bound so that investment proposals can be implemented faster, allowing production and employment generation to begin at the earliest.

Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh’s new Industrial Development Policy had received an encouraging response from investors in India and abroad, with investment proposals worth more than ₹8.5 lakh crore received by the state. The government’s focus is now on translating these proposals into projects on the ground. Investors are being provided the necessary support at every stage, from project establishment to operations.

He added that new opportunities for industrial development were emerging across Chhattisgarh. The government wants industrialisation to extend beyond a few locations and reach different regions of the state. Developing industries based on local resources will strengthen regional economies and create better opportunities for employment and self-employment closer to home.

Chief Minister expressed confidence that the new Yash Group unit would accelerate industrial activity in Nava Raipur and surrounding areas while creating new jobs. Assuring the company of all possible support from the state government, he said the concerned departments would coordinate to facilitate timely completion of the project and the commencement of production at the earliest.

Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary said that the approach to industrial policy in Chhattisgarh has undergone a significant change under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Investment is now being assessed not only in terms of the amount of capital committed but also by the employment opportunities it could generate.

He noted that industries requiring substantial capital but providing comparatively fewer jobs had long been prominent in the state’s industrial landscape. The new Industrial Development Policy seeks to change this pattern by giving special priority to labour-intensive industries and those capable of creating more employment.

The proposed Yash Fans and Appliances unit exemplifies this approach, Shri Choudhary said. An investment of approximately ₹150 crore expected to generate direct employment for more than 3,500 people reflects the new direction of industrial development in the state. The objective is to ensure that industrial investment directly benefits the youth of Chhattisgarh. He said that on the Chief Minister’s instructions, the Finance and Industries departments jointly prepared the Industrial Development Policy 2024-2030. The policy provides special incentives to employment-generating industries and is aligned with the Central Government’s employment promotion schemes. Budgetary provisions for industrial subsidies have been increased from approximately ₹200 crore to more than ₹1,000 crore.

Shri Choudhary also referred to the state government’s budgetary priorities under Chief Minister Shri Sai’s leadership. The first budget was dedicated to GYAAN, representing the welfare of the poor, youth, farmers and women, while the second budget focused on GATI, aimed at accelerating good governance, infrastructure, technology and industrial development. He said that resources generated through economic growth would be used to strengthen public welfare schemes further. The government’s objective is to establish a sustainable foundation for public welfare through industrial and economic progress.

Industries Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan said that Chhattisgarh was progressing rapidly in industrial development under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Over the past two and a half years, more than 3,000 large and small industries have been established in the state, generating employment for over 50,000 people. Upcoming industrial projects are expected to create additional employment opportunities for more than 1.5 lakh people. Shri Dewangan said that investor confidence is growing steadily due to the favourable industrial environment and investment-friendly policies. In line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the state is continuing to work towards a Viksit Chhattisgarh through industry, investment and employment generation.

Congratulating the Yash Group on its proposed industrial unit, he described the project as an important step towards the state’s industrial growth. He assured the company of the state government’s necessary support for timely implementation so that production could begin soon and local youth could benefit from the employment opportunities created. Company Outlines Production Plans and Employment Potential

On the occasion, Yash Fans and Appliances Limited CEO Shri A.N. Ravichandran briefed the gathering on the proposed unit’s activities, production plans and employment potential. He appreciated the favourable industrial environment in Chhattisgarh and the support extended by the state government. Those present at the ceremony included Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) Chairman Shri Rajiv Agrawal, Yash Group Chairman Shri Ritesh Naredi, Industries Department Secretary Shri Rajat Kumar, Nava Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) Chief Executive Officer Shri Chandan Kumar, representatives of the industrial sector, company officials and a large number of distinguished guests.
