Raipur, November 2, 2026/ In a special initiative aimed at safeguarding public health and ensuring access to safe drinking water, the Public Health Engineering Department is offering visitors to Rajyotsav 2026 an opportunity to get the water from their private sources tested free of cost. The three-day statehood celebrations, being held from November 1 to 3, have a dedicated facility where visitors can get the quality of water from their private borewells and wells checked.

The department is conducting on-the-spot chemical testing of drinking water at its exhibition stall during the celebrations. Citizens can get their drinking and irrigation water tested at government laboratories, free of charge, for parameters such as fluoride, arsenic, heavy metals and bacteria.

Anyone wishing to get the water from a private tubewell, borewell or well at home tested can avail of this facility by visiting the Public Health Engineering Department’s main exhibition stall at the Rajyotsav venue. The service is completely free of cost.
