Raipur, September 10, 2026/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has directed that the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ be developed into a mass campaign for public welfare and participation, ensuring direct benefits to citizens through government schemes, healthcare, employment, nutrition, cleanliness and environmental conservation activities. It will be organised across Chhattisgarh from September 17 to October 17.

Reviewing preparations for the month-long campaign at a meeting held on September 10, Chief Minister Shri Sai said citizens and their needs should remain at the centre of every activity. He directed District Collectors to ensure systematic implementation through inter-departmental coordination, regularly review preparations and inform citizens about programmes in advance to encourage maximum participation. He emphasised connecting eligible beneficiaries with government schemes, creating employment opportunities for youth, bringing healthcare services closer to people and ensuring the prompt resolution of public grievances.

‘Seva Setu’ Camps to Deliver Government Schemes and Resolve Grievances

Chief Minister Shri Sai laid special emphasis on making ‘Seva Setu’ camps an effective platform for delivering public welfare schemes and services. Health camps will be organised in selected villages, while eligible beneficiaries will be identified and connected with various government schemes. Officials will resolve public grievances on the spot wherever possible. Dedicated counters will be established at camp venues to receive applications, which will be digitally monitored. Cases that cannot be resolved immediately will be reviewed weekly until resolved.

The Chief Minister directed officials to identify potential beneficiaries before the camps so that eligible citizens can receive scheme benefits without unnecessary delay.

Employment Fairs to Expand Opportunities for Youth

Chief Minister Shri Sai directed that employment fairs organised by the Skill Development Department be integrated with the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to provide employment opportunities to as many young people as possible. Officials were instructed to streamline the process of receiving applications and linking candidates with suitable opportunities. Selected candidates will receive appointment letters at the camps.

Under the ‘Aangan Milan’ programme, Anganwadi centres will organise healthy baby competitions, ‘Meri Paushtik Thali’, painting competitions, Nyota Bhoj and distribution of fruits and sweets. Parents will be encouraged to participate extensively in Poshan chaupals, while women who have made notable achievements after benefiting from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be honoured.

Community participation will also be encouraged through toy donations for children at Anganwadi centres in both rural and urban areas. Schools across the state, including government, private and aided institutions, will organise painting and speech competitions with the participation of students, parents, School Management Committees, Panchayat representatives and local citizens. Students of Classes XI and XII will participate in creative activities such as street plays. At the same time, children with special abilities who have excelled in various fields will have a platform to showcase their talents.

More than 25 activities related to blood donation, plantation, plastic-free initiatives, cleanliness and public welfare will be organised under ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’. Special attention will be given to cleanliness, lighting arrangements, plantation, and beautification of river ghats. The Chief Minister directed that local committees be formed to ensure cleanliness continues even after the campaign activities conclude. Cleanliness initiatives in urban and rural areas under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ will also be integrated with the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

Tree Plantation Drive Under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’

Chief Minister Shri Sai directed that tree planting activities during the campaign be linked with the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative. Extensive tree plantation will be undertaken around water structures, at public places and other suitable locations. He said the concluding programme of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ could be organised on October 17, by which time the state aims to achieve its target of planting 2.5 crore saplings this year.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan would achieve its purpose when people in need receive healthcare, eligible families gain access to government schemes, youth obtain employment opportunities, children receive platforms to showcase their talents, and citizens actively participate in cleanliness and environmental conservation. He directed District Collectors and concerned departments to implement the campaign with sensitivity and effective planning so that its public welfare initiatives reach the maximum number of people across the state.
