Chief Minister Sai Attends Guru Darshan and Sant Samagam Mela at Bhandarpuri Dham

Raipur, 21 October 2026/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the Guru Darshan and Sant Samagam Mela on Wednesday at Bhandarpuri Dham in Arang development block. It is a prominent centre of faith for followers of the Satnam Panth. He paid obeisance at the Gurugaddi Asan and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. On the occasion, he also performed Bhoomi Pujan for three important road development works costing approximately Rs. 29 crore.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Sant Shiromani Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji’s message of truth, non-violence, compassion, equality and social harmony would always guide humanity. His eternal message, ‘Mankhe-Mankhe Ek Saman’(all human beings are equal), inspires people to rise above discrimination and follow the path of love, goodwill and social harmony.

The Chief Minister said that Bhandarpuri Dham, the sacred land where Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji lived and worked, is an important centre of faith for the Satnam Panth and of Chhattisgarh’s rich social and cultural heritage. The Guru Darshan and Sant Samagam Mela is a living symbol of the glorious tradition of faith, social unity and goodwill.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is working with commitment for the welfare of every section of society, following Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji’s path of truth, compassion, equality and social justice. Schemes are being implemented with the resolve to ensure that no community, section or region is left behind in the journey of development.

He said that the state government is continuously working for the educational, social and economic progress of the Satnami community. To provide its youth with better opportunities to prepare for competitive examinations, the number of seats at the coaching institution in Delhi has been increased from 100 to 200. Referring to the Bhoomi Pujan for Moti Mahal at Bhandarpuri, he said that the state government is committed to developing and preserving places associated with the community’s faith, culture and pride.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is working towards the goal to make India a developed nation by 2047. Building a developed Chhattisgarh is the state government’s goal as part of fulfilling this national resolve. He called upon everyone to embrace Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji’s ideals, strengthen social goodwill and harmony, and contribute to building a developed Chhattisgarh.

Bhoomi Pujan for Three Road Development Works Worth Approximately Rs. 29 Crore

On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai performed Bhoomi Pujan for three road development works costing a total of Rs. 28 crore 96 lakh 82 thousand. These include widening and strengthening a 4-kilometre stretch of the Mohandi–Adsena road at a cost of Rs. 8 crore 31 lakh 5 thousand and constructing a 2-kilometre internal road at Nardaha at a cost of Rs. 3 crore 30 lakh 78 thousand.

He also performed Bhoomi Pujan for bituminous resurfacing of the 29-kilometre Chhatauna–Darba–Kutesar–Badgaon–Kunda–Nara–Lakhauli road at a cost of Rs. 17 crore 34 lakh 99 thousand. Once completed, these works will ease travel in the area and strengthen road connectivity between villages.

Four Development Works Announced; Wooden Jaitkhams to Be Installed at 40 Locations

Responding to requests from Technical Education and Skill Development Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai announced four important construction works. He announced Rs. 75 lakh for a high school building in Gram Panchayat Khamtarai, Rs. 30 lakh for a new primary school building at Odka in Arang Nagar Panchayat, Rs. 1 crore for various construction works at the PM SHRI School in Mandir Hasaud Municipal Council, and Rs. 85 lakh for a new Nagar Panchayat office building at Chandkhuri.

Satnami Community Making Steady Progress Under Chief Minister Shri Sai’s Leadership: Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb

Addressing the gathering, Technical Education and Skill Development Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb said that the Satnami community is making steady progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. He said that the Chief Minister has responded sensitively to and fulfilled all development-related requests placed before him by the community. Under his leadership, the community would continue to progress rapidly towards all-round development.

Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb said that the Bhoomi Pujan for Moti Mahal at Bhandarpuri reflects the Chief Minister’s commitment to social harmony and the community’s cultural heritage. Increasing the number of seats for competitive examination coaching in Delhi to 200 would give more young people from the community an opportunity to progress.

Call to Follow Guru Ghasidas Ji’s Path

Addressing the ceremony, the Satnami community’s spiritual leader, Dharmaguru Baldas Saheb, said that Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji’s message of equality showed society the path of truth, goodwill and humanity. He called upon members of the community to follow the path shown by Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji and embrace his thoughts and ideals in their lives.

Dharmaguru Baldas Saheb, Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, Technical Education and Skill Development Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb, Abhanpur MLA Shri Indra Kumar Sahu, Rajim MLA Shri Rohit Sahu, other public representatives, saints and office-bearers of the Satnami community, and a large number of devotees were present.
