Raipur, October 8, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the closing ceremony of the two-day State-Level Employment Fair 2026, held at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur on Thursday. He said providing quality education, better skill training, and employment opportunities to Chhattisgarh’s youth is a priority for the state government. The government aims to ensure that young men and women in Chhattisgarh have access to better education and employment opportunities. It also seeks to help them become self-reliant through their skills and talent and actively contribute to building a developed Chhattisgarh.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister handed over the offer letters to selected candidates and wished them a bright future. The Chief Minister presented offer letters to nearly 1,100 selected youth.

More than 13,000 youth from across Chhattisgarh participated in the two-day employment fair held on October 7 and 8. Over 5,000 candidates were finally selected following recruitment processes conducted by various companies. Youth from all districts, including remote and tribal areas, attended the fair. They participated in selection processes for jobs suited to their educational qualifications and skills.

Congratulating the selected candidates, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that these employment opportunities mark a new beginning in their lives. He expressed confidence that, through hard work, dedication, and talent, the youth would bring pride to their families, the state, and the country.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said the state government is working systematically to connect youth with employment opportunities. Over the past two and a half years, the government has organised 925 employment fairs across Chhattisgarh, through which more than 25,845 youth have secured employment. The State-Level Employment Fair will further strengthen these efforts.

He said that along with education, practical skills and training suited to industry requirements are essential in today’s world. With this approach, the state government is continuously working to connect youth with education, skill development and employment.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is continuously expanding higher and technical education facilities. The state has prestigious national-level institutions such as IIT, IIM, IIIT, AIIMS and a Law University. Institutions like Prayas also give talented students opportunities to prepare for competitive examinations.

He said the government aims to provide maximum opportunities for quality education, modern skills, and a better future for youth within Chhattisgarh itself. To this end, the government is developing educational and technical institutions to meet industries’ changing requirements.

More Than 95 Employers Provide Employment Opportunities to Youth

More than 95 registered employer institutions, along with other companies, participated in the State-Level Employment Fair. Around 50 stalls were set up at the venue, where companies from various industrial and service sectors conducted document verification, interviews, and candidate selection.

The fair offered employment opportunities to youth with different educational and professional qualifications, including ITI, diploma, engineering and graduation.

The Employment Department, Industrial Training Institutes, the Technical Education Department, polytechnic and engineering colleges, and the Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority also actively participated in organising the event.

Many youth trained under skill development programmes also attended the employment fair. Thus, the fair served not only as a recruitment platform but also as an effective forum for direct interaction and coordination among youth, industries, and educational institutions.

E-Rozgar Portal to Be Developed as ‘Skill Market’

The E-Rozgar Portal handled registration, applications, attendance, and candidate selection at the employment fair. This made the recruitment process simpler, more organised, and transparent.

The state government plans further to develop the E-Rozgar Portal as a ‘Skill Market’. This integrated digital platform will provide information about industry requirements and available vacancies, along with the educational qualifications and skills of job-seeking youth.

The platform will make it easier for youth to find employment opportunities suited to their qualifications. At the same time, industries will be able to access skilled human resources according to their requirements.

More Employment Opportunities Ahead for Youth Who Were Not Selected

Chief Minister Shri Sai also encouraged those who participated in the employment fair but could not secure a job this time. He said that they need not be disappointed. The state government will continue to create new employment opportunities for youth through employment fairs, skill development programmes and coordination with industries.

The Chief Minister congratulated Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb, departmental officers and employees, educational institutions, and representatives of industrial establishments and companies from Chhattisgarh and other states for successfully organising the employment fair.

Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Minister Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government is continuously working to provide better employment opportunities to youth. The government’s objective is not merely to provide training but to connect their skills with real employment and livelihood opportunities.

He said that the large participation of youth from across the state reflects their enthusiasm and aspirations for a better future. Young people are being trained to meet current industry requirements, making them capable of securing employment.

Third-Party Evaluation Report Released to Improve Quality of Polytechnic Institutions

The Quality Council of India also released a third-party evaluation report during the programme, in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. The report aims to improve the quality of education and training in polytechnic colleges across Chhattisgarh.

The report assesses the academic standards, training systems, available infrastructure and scope for quality improvement in polytechnic institutions. Based on its recommendations, the report has prepared an action plan to support the overall development of these institutions and improve training quality.

This will help develop technical education to meet changing industry requirements and improve students’ employability.

Chief Minister Shri Sai also referred to the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. He said the state is organising various public welfare programmes to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s public service. The employment fair is also carrying forward the same spirit of service and public welfare by directly connecting youth with opportunities.

The Chief Minister said that before attending the employment fair, he had participated in the ‘Seva Setu’ programme organised in Durg. During the programme, the government released the 32nd instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, and beneficiaries received benefits under various government schemes.

He said the state government is working to build a developed Chhattisgarh by empowering every section of society, including women, youth, farmers, workers, and low-income people.

Cabinet Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, Chairperson of the Chhattisgarh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Smt. Varnika Sharma, Chairperson of the Minorities Commission Shri Amarjeet Chhabra, MLAs Shri Sunil Soni and Shri Rohit Sahu, other public representatives, representatives of various industrial establishments, departmental officers and employees; and a large number of youth were present on the occasion.
