Raipur, October 9, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the ‘Seva Sankalp Conclave – Janseva Ka Sankalp, Chhattisgarh Ka Bhavishya’, organised by news channel Asian News in Raipur on Friday. On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai shared his views on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service, the major changes witnessed across the country, and the state government’s priorities and commitments to building a developed Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the dream of a strong, self-reliant, and developed India is rapidly becoming a reality under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership. India has established itself as a strong, influential nation on the global stage. The country has also made unprecedented economic progress and has become the world’s fourth-largest economy. Prime Minister Shri Modi has instilled confidence among citizens and taken India to new heights of development.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has completed 25 years of public service as Gujarat Chief Minister and Prime Minister of India. After assuming office as Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001, he not only led the state’s reconstruction after the devastating earthquake but also presented a development model that gained recognition across the country. After becoming Prime Minister in 2014, he continued to lead the nation with the same spirit of service, determination and vision.

Recalling his experiences with Prime Minister Shri Modi, Chief Minister Shri Sai said the Prime Minister has a long-standing, close association with Chhattisgarh. He has spent considerable time in the state’s remote areas, including Bastar, and has closely understood the local conditions and people’s lives.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that he had the opportunity to serve as a Minister of State in the Union Government led by Prime Minister Shri Modi in 2014. The Prime Minister considers all 140 crore citizens his family and works for their welfare. His guiding principle, ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’, has become the foundation of India’s development journey.

The Chief Minister said India has also demonstrated its determination in national security under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s leadership. The surgical strikes and Operation Sindoor have shown the world the strength and resolve of a new India. This new India does not provoke anyone, but it also knows how to respond to those who threaten the country’s security and dignity.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Modi continues to inspire everyone through his spirit of service. During the difficult period of the global COVID-19 pandemic, India demonstrated its scientific capabilities and commitment to serving humanity. The vaccine developed in India not only protected crores of Indians but also carried a message of humanity and cooperation to countries around the world.

Inspired by the Prime Minister’s spirit of service, the Chhattisgarh Government is also continuously working for the happiness, prosperity and better future of every citizen of the state.

Development Reaching Bastar as New Opportunities Open Up

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Naxalism had remained the biggest obstacle to Chhattisgarh’s development, particularly in Bastar, for a long time.

He recalled that Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah chaired a meeting of Naxal-affected states in January 2024, after he assumed office as Chief Minister. At that time, most of the remaining Naxal problem in the country was concentrated in Chhattisgarh.

He said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah’s strong determination, better coordination between the Central and State Governments, and the extraordinary courage of the security forces have delivered decisive success against Naxalism.

The Chief Minister said roads, electricity, mobile networks, education, healthcare, and other basic facilities are now expanding rapidly in areas where development work was once difficult. Positive changes are transforming the lives of Bastar’s people, and new development opportunities are emerging. The government is committed to ensuring that Bastar leads a new era of peace, trust, and development.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has set the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047. Chhattisgarh is moving forward with full commitment to play an important role in achieving this national objective. He said that Chhattisgarh, located in the heart of the country, is rich in natural and mineral resources. The state has vast reserves of important minerals, including coal, iron ore and tin. It also has potential for valuable minerals such as diamonds and gold. The government is using these resources more effectively to expand industries, create jobs, and boost economic activity in the state.

The Chief Minister said that the state’s mineral revenue has increased over the past two and a half years. The state is continuously expanding digitalisation to bring transparency to government processes and increase revenue. Procedures are being simplified, made transparent, and made technology-based to eliminate opportunities for corruption. He said that Chhattisgarh has fertile land and hardworking people. The saying ‘Chhattisgarhiya Sable Badhiya’ is not merely a phrase but reflects the simple nature, hard work and capabilities of the people of the state.

With these strengths and resources, Chhattisgarh will achieve its economic goals by 2047 and contribute significantly to building a developed India.

Mahtari Vandan Yojana Strengthening Women’s Financial Independence

Chief Minister Shri Sai said women’s empowerment is among the state government’s top priorities. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the state transfers Rs. 1,000 directly into women’s bank accounts every month. The 32nd instalment of the scheme was released from Durg on Thursday.

Sharing his experiences, the Chief Minister said that during his visits to different parts of the state, he gets opportunities to interact with women. He said women are using the financial assistance under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana for their children’s education, family needs, savings, and self-employment.

Many women have saved the amount and purchased livelihood equipment, including sewing machines. They are now earning additional income every month. Some mothers have also opened Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana accounts to secure their daughters’ future.

The Chief Minister said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is not limited to financial assistance. It has become a means of strengthening women’s confidence, self-respect and financial independence. He said the happiness on the faces of mothers and sisters is the government’s greatest satisfaction.

Farmers’ Prosperity a Priority for the Government

Chief Minister Shri Sai said Chhattisgarh is known as the Rice Bowl, and farmers feed the people. The state government is continuously working to increase farmers’ income, make agriculture profitable, and provide essential resources. The government is procuring paddy from farmers at Rs. 3,100 per quintal, up to 21 quintals per acre. He said that after coming to power, the government paid farmers their pending paddy bonus for two years. The government has also approved new irrigation projects worth more than Rs. 11,000 crore to expand irrigation facilities across the state.

The Chief Minister said cooperative banks are providing farmers with agricultural loans at zero per cent interest. The government is also making continuous efforts to ensure the timely availability of improved seeds, fertilisers and other essential agricultural inputs. He said that the government’s goal is to make farmers prosperous and strengthen agriculture as a foundation of Chhattisgarh’s economic progress.

Dream of Permanent Houses for Poor Families Becoming a Reality

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi made it clear immediately after assuming responsibility for the Union Government that his government was dedicated to the welfare of people living in poverty.

The government gave the highest priority to providing permanent houses, toilets, cooking gas, and other basic facilities to low-income families. These schemes have particularly improved women’s dignity, convenience, and security.

The Chief Minister said the Chhattisgarh Government approved 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in its first Cabinet meeting after formation. Today, the state is constructing approximately 1,600 houses every day. The government is working to ensure that no eligible low-income family is deprived of a permanent home.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government’s policies keep the poor, farmers, women, youth, and disadvantaged sections of society at the centre.

Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh is progressing rapidly by bringing together good governance, transparency, public welfare and development. He said the government is committed to building a self-reliant, prosperous, and developed Chhattisgarh by connecting every citizen with development opportunities.

During the programme, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai honoured Sanju Devi, a daughter of Chhattisgarh and an Asian Games gold medallist, along with achievers and distinguished personalities who have made notable contributions in various fields. He also appreciated their achievements.

Skill Development Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, State Gau Seva Aayog Vice-Chairman Shri Rajiv Lochan Ji Maharaj, public representatives, prominent citizens, distinguished personalities from various fields, and officials from Asian News were present.
